A content creator is going viral for showing off her American Doll-inspired bachelorette party looks
Micarah Tewers is hand-making and thrifting designs so her bridal party can each look like a different historical character
“This bachelorette theme is SO ICONIC and on brand for Micarah,” one person commented
An influencer has the internet obsessed after showing off handmade American Girl Doll-inspired designs for her upcoming bachelorette party.
Micarah Tewers has her nearly 600,000 Instagram followers in a chokehold since debuting her “wholesome” American Doll bachelorette invites in a March 26 post.
New updates have followed as Micarah creatively explains how her 10-person bridal party will each dress as one of the historical Mattel characters, each with their own focus on girls from different eras of American history.
“Now you’ve seen the looks that I sewed from scratch for my American Girl bachelorette party, but here are some of the ones I thrifted,” she said in a fun voiceover clip posted Tuesday, April 14.
When it came to Molly McIntire, who grew up during World War II, Micarah admitted putting her look together was “a little tricky,” but it ultimately turned out great for her bridesmaid Holly.
Armed with a mannequin and a thrifting trip, healer-in-training Josefina Montoya, who hailed from New Mexico, was “shockingly easy” to replicate.
However, Micarah did note that she needed to add lace to the bottom of her long skirt, a belt, “and a little satchel thing because I want all my friends to have somewhere to put their phones.”
“I love everything about this and if this bachelorette party is in Chicago I will 100% come out and buy you girls a round of drinks because you loonies have earned it,” one person commented.
“AMERICAN GIRL OUTFITS YOU CAN EASILY THRIFT! send this to a friend who should dress more like an American girl doll,” the influencer captioned her post.
In a separate video, Micarah documented how she made some of the looks herself.

Her measurements were determined by pleating fabric “till it was the width of one cousin named Shelby and sewed a waistline about two dolls’ legs from the top.”
“Americans will use anything but the metric system,” one person joked. Another wrote, “This bachelorette theme is SO ICONIC and on brand for Micarah.”
In between puns and a reference to the 2004 movie Samantha: An American Girl Holiday, Micarah showed how her Samantha Parkington-inspired outfit was made complete with “a little Velcro for accuracy and a bow for preciousness.”
While designing one of her bridesmaids a Felicity Merriman costume for the bachelorette party, Micarah admitted that the 1774 Colonial Virginia look took her longer than expected because she got “distracted” by making a drawing.
“AMAZING. also the drawing looks like the man from no country for old men lol,” one person wrote after Micarah asked her followers to guess it was. “I know Javier Bardem when I see him,” another added.

Included in her American Doll content series was a photo of Micarah as a child, smiling as she hugged her Nellie O'Malley doll that transitioned into a video of Micarah as an adult, dressed as the various Mattel characters.
“Dreams do come true,” she captioned the post.
“Oh, I completely understand you and I’m obsessed,” a fan wrote.
