- - Denise Richards and Ex-Husband Aaron Phypers Evicted From L.A. Home

Denise Richards and ex-husband Aaron Phypers were ordered to vacate their home on Friday, Dec. 26 per court order brought forth by their landlord John Karan.

Richards had already moved out of the couple's Calabasas home in 2023 due to marital issues with her now ex-husband. Phypers filed for divorce from Richards in July of this year after six years of marriage.

After Richards moved out of the home, Phypers had continued to live there with his parents and brother. Richards claimed that Phypers trashed the home after she moved out which Phypers has denied.

The Los Angeles Superior Court judge who signed off on the eviction request, granted Karan possession of the home. Karan alleges that Richards and Phypers failed to pay their rent. Karan is also demanding $84,000 back in rent due to the nonpayment.

Karan filed a lawsuit against Richards and Phypers on Nov. 7 and told the court that Richards and Phypers had failed to pay the rent for months. Karan also claims the couple agreed to pay $12,000 per month in rent back when they leased the home in 2020.

Shortly after Phypers filed for divorce in July, Richards was awarded a temporary restraining order against Phypers. Richards was then awarded a permanent restraining order against her ex-husband on Nov. 7.

"Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages," Richards told the court.

The Los Angeles Superior Court judge who signed off on the eviction has yet to rule on the damages requested by Karan.
