While country music icon Miranda Lambert now has a slew of No. 1 hit songs under her belt, she started with none, just like everyone else. But 15 years ago today, the singer released the song that would go on to become her second-ever No. 1 hit.

On Jan. 10, 2011, Lambert released the single "Heart Like Mine," which was originally released on the album Revolution in September 2009. Its release as an official single brought renewed attention to the track, and over the next few months, "Heart Like Mine" rose on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Finally, in late May, the song achieved the top spot on the chart, becoming Lambert's second song to ever do so. "Heart Like Mine" also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Lambert's first No. 1 hit was "The House That Built Me," which was a single from the same album released on March 8, 2010.

In a video of an early live performance of "Heart Like Mine," Lambert shared a little bit of background for the song, saying, "'Heart Like Mine' is a song I wrote with my good friend Ashley Monroe and my other good friend Travis Howard."

"It's kind of autobiographical in a way. Kind of tells my story a little bit," she went on. "I grew up in church, grew up a Christian, you know, and then got in a country band and saw the real world a little bit. It's just about, you know, my interpretation of how God would be, and how Heaven would be."

Lambert's third No. 1 hit came in 2012, with the emotional track "Over You." The song was co-written by Lambert and her then-husband, Blake Shelton, about his experience losing his older brother in a car accident. Lambert and Shelton were married between 2011 and 2015.

The track came out on her next album, Four the Record, released on Nov. 1, 2011, although it was released as an official single on Jan. 9, 2012. The song would go on to win Song of the Year at both the CMA Awards and ACM Awards.
